NEEDLE
EYE

One shot. One perch. Zero patience for hovering weirdos.

Needle Eye is the UPDF's long-range specialist: precise, patient, and deeply offended by aliens who float where everyone can see them.

Take high ground, cover lanes, place traps, grapple into position, and make the Collectors think twice before crossing open space.

Thread the shot. Pin the threat. Protect the pants.

Needle Eye

Role Fantasy

Control where enemies are willing to go.

Your strength comes from positioning. Find a perch, cover important routes, support citizens from above, and force the Collectors to respect the sightline.

You are not just shooting enemies. You are controlling where enemies are willing to go.

The UPDF calls that tactical overwatch.
Needle Eye calls it “finally, some quiet.”

Playstyle

Precision. Traps. Patience.

You should look for high ground, watch alien approach routes, protect citizens from a distance, and pressure major threats like the Commander or Overlord.

You are strongest when you think ahead. Pick the right perch. Mine the right route. Grapple before you are surrounded.

A good Needle Eye makes aliens feel watched.
A great Needle Eye makes them feel late.

Combat Identity

Abilities & Loadout

Signature Weapon

Sewing Needle Rifle

A long-range precision weapon for picking off threats and pressuring important targets.

Originally designed for tailoring.
Heavily modified after the tailor complained about aliens.

Sidearm

Pin Pistol

A reliable sidearm for closer threats.

Because sometimes the aliens do not respect your preferred engagement distance.

Area Denial

Pin Mines

Place traps on likely routes, perches, or rescue paths.

A well-placed mine turns alien confidence into alien regret.

Mobility

Grappling Hook

Reposition quickly, reach perches, and escape danger.

Needle Eye does not climb stairs when physics can be persuaded.

During Setup Phase

Prepare the map.

Find overwatch spots. Watch citizen safe zones. Place traps along likely invasion routes. Cover buildings where Defenders are hiding citizens.

The aliens may scout from above.
Needle Eye scouts back with judgment.

Final Stand

The punctuation mark.

Cover cannons, lanes, rooftops, and incoming threats. Pick off minions before they swarm. Pressure major Collectors. If an alien starts a big dramatic push, make it regret doing that in your sightline.

Final Stand is chaos.
Needle Eye is the punctuation mark.

Lore

From threading needles to threading aliens.

Needle Eye began as a quiet specialist in precision tailoring and long-distance measurement.

Then the Collectors invaded, and the UPDF discovered that someone who could thread a needle at fifty yards could also make aliens extremely nervous at much greater distances.

Needle Eye accepted the role on one condition:

  • — No speeches.
  • — No group chants.
  • — No one touches the perch.

The UPDF agreed immediately and then wrote several speeches anyway.

Field Recordings

Heard from the rooftop.

“Hold still. This is already difficult enough.”
“I see the problem. It is orange.”
“The sky is not a safe zone.”
“Pinned one.”
“If they didn't want to be sniped, they should be invisible.”
