THE ATHLETE

Fast feet. Fast saves. Questionable throwing form.

The Athlete is the UPDF's speed specialist: quick, mobile, and absolutely convinced that every problem can be solved by getting there first.

Rescue citizens, dodge danger, flank aliens, and move people to safety whether they are emotionally prepared or not.

Run fast. Save pants. Try not to land on the citizen.

The Athlete

Role Fantasy

The team's mobile responder.

You are not meant to stand still. You patrol dangerous routes, rescue citizens before they are captured, chase down minions, and relocate civilians to safer places.

Your speed gives the UPDF flexibility. Your job is to be where the aliens hoped nobody would be.

The Collectors plan routes.
The Athlete ruins routes.

Playstyle

Mobility. Reactions. Last-second saves.

You should constantly watch for isolated citizens, dragged teammates, weak points, and sudden alien pushes. The Athlete rewards map awareness and bold movement.

You may not be the strongest Defender in a straight fight, but you are often the reason the fight happens somewhere better.

Preferably indoors. With citizens not being abducted.

Combat Identity

Abilities & Loadout

Sidearm

Handgun

A reliable sidearm for quick pressure while moving.

Good for minions, distractions, and making aliens reconsider chasing you.

Close-Range Burst

Sawed-Off Shotgun

Close-range burst damage for dangerous moments.

Ideal for clearing space, interrupting threats, and saying “personal bubble” in buckshot.

Mobility

Dodge Dash

Move fast, evade danger, and reposition under pressure.

Excellent for clutch rescues and terrible for anyone trying to predict where you are going.

Class Action

Carry / Throw Citizens

Move citizens to safer areas before aliens can grab them.

Citizens may complain.
The UPDF calls this gratitude delay.

During Setup Phase

Win the match before it starts.

Find exposed citizens. Move them indoors. Carry stragglers to safer zones. Help create defensible areas before the first alien lands.

If a citizen is standing in the street saying, “I'm sure it's fine,” it is your job to disagree physically.

Final Stand

A rescue machine.

Intercept minions. Save cannon operators. Move quickly between pressure points. Rescue citizens before the mothership turns the Pants Factory into a fabric buffet.

The UPDF needs speed.
The Athlete has ignored leg day exactly zero times.

Lore

From medals to mailboxes.

Before the invasion, the Athlete trained for trophies, medals, and local sports glory.

Then the Collectors arrived and revealed a terrifying truth: aliens do not respect athletic schedules. After rescuing three citizens, dodging two tractor beams, and punting a minion into a mailbox, the Athlete was recruited into the UPDF.

The official recruitment note read:
“Can run fast. Can carry people. Doesn't ask enough questions. Approved.”

Field Recordings

Heard mid-sprint.

“I moved the citizen. They'll thank me once they land.”
“Too slow, space bacon.”
“If pants are the objective, cardio is the answer.”
“I saw danger and sprinted directly at it.”
“Safe zone delivery complete-ish.”
